Healthcare and its delivery are close to the top of every nation’s social and political agenda. Networking: The ability to network with world leaders in the field of informatics in a forum intended to foster opportunities for collaboration and exchange of ideas. As a member of the IMIA family you will be in a face-to-face social and business environment. You will have the facility to develop your network to the world in one place — at the same time.

Participation: As a member of IMIA’s General Assembly, you are an active participant in the issues dealt with by the Annual General Meeting. Your representatives can participate in IMIA’s Working and Special Interest Groups. Not only are you aware of international issues and agendas — you are in a position to influence them.

Exposure: You put a face and personality to your organization. You have the opportunity to provide annual briefings to members of the General Assembly with regard to your organization’s activities and initiatives. Your logo, organizational and contact information, along with a website and e-mail link will be on IMIA=s Website.

Information Exchange: Develop a sense of direction of where the field is going from an international perspective — what challenges are being addressed — what challenges have been surmounted — and, where can your product and service offerings assist others. IMIA membership provides a unique opportunity for on-going medical and health informatics "intelligence" on a global scale.

• Free access to inclusion of meetings, seminars, etc. on IMIA’s "coming events" section of the website.
